The State of Ohio has submitted a petition to vacate or close portions of County Highway 74 and Township Highways 65, 68 and 72 in Antrim and Pitt Township, Wyandot County, Ohio. The State of Ohio, Department of Transportation has initiated a project to improve the safety of the at grade intersection of State Route 294 and US 23 by converting this intersection to an interchange. In addition, the project will improve the safety of the US 23 limited access corridor by removing access at County Highway 74 and Township Highways 65, 68 and 72. These vacations and closures are petitioned to become effective upon the opening of the proposed State Route 294 Interchange.

The Ohio Department of Transportation held a public meeting Thursday September 19, 2024 to discuss the project with the Board of Commissioners and community members.  The Wyandot Board of County Commissioners fixed September 19, 2024 as the viewing. January 30, 2025 is fixed as the final hearing at the Board of County Commissioners Office: 109 S Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky OH 43351.
